We have carefully structured our staffing and roles, so that we can ensure every child is well known and supported through school. Each student is allocated to a Form Group, which is within a Year Group. The Form Tutor is the person centrally involved in monitoring academic progress and students' needs. They also deliver aspects of our Personal, Social and Health Education programme (PSHE). The Form Tutor's work is overseen by a Head of Year who in turn is supported by a Student Support Worker.
The pastoral team works together to oversee and plan for the needs of individuals. They are joined by other staff, such as our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and Learning Support Department. We carefully support students with particular needs, valuing the least able and the most able alike. This is reflected in a very wide range of learning support provision, from help for those with literacy difficulties to support for those with a specific learning difficulty. Most important to us is a belief that all students can succeed and that it is all of our responsibilities to help that to happen.
Our Pastoral Leads are Katharine Warner and Jamie White (also SENCO/Designated Safeguarding Lead) and our Pupil Premium lead is Bruce Brown.
