Progress for 2019
Progress scores for A level pupils have been in line with national expectations for 2 out of the last 3 years.
In 2018 progress scores for A level ranked us second for all state schools in Shropshire.
Progress scores for vocational pupils have been in at or above national expectations for 2 out of the last 3 years.
In 2018 progress scores for vocational courses ranked us 1st in Shropshire.
A few sixth form students completed level two qualifications. These students did well compared to national scores with progress in English of +1.00 and in maths of +0.33.
Retention for our students is also strong. Published data from the DFE shows our retention is 91% (compared to 88% locally and 89% nationally).
DFE Destinations data shows a significant and positive difference between the national picture and our students. 91% of our students went onto sustained further education from our sixth form. 57% went on to Higher education.
